This young jock in Florida - ON THE AIR - told the suits to CRAM IT. Now, I've never done that. Some say it is unprofessional. But a lot of "dislocated" employees LOVE this real piece of audio taken from the airwaves.

I'll tell ya, Rich, I love it! HA! I never had the horror of having owners or management like that (thankfully) but I can see why this dude flipped out. When you work as hard as a jock does (it's more than listening to music 4 hours a day and talking!) and your thanks often comes in the form of trade at the local restaurants or free 2-liter coupons from Speedway, it's a slap in the face when people are jacked from their shifts for no reason other than you made "too much money". Really? Since when is the value of what we do "too much" when many others in the building are making 10-fold off talents of good broadcasters? Isn't is strange that radio listenership has gone down since the consolidation and consultant era came upon us? Radio has diluted to the point that wherever you travel, there is no difference in the programming and many of the jocks are out of market voice tracks with nothing to offer local folks. Sure more tech is out there to dilute radio, but the PASSION is gone! Oh well...certainly no sour grapes on this end. I dig where I'm at now, but I really don't miss radio! Do well, Rich!
